More about the accommodation:
We are looking for a lodger to live in the top floor of our three storey house. It's a new loft extension with three rooms all for your private use - a spacious bedroom with a desk, an en suite bathroom with shower, and a small kitchenette with a modest cooking area, sink and a sofa. (We have ticked “shared lounge area” as there wasn’t a more specific option - it’s a kitchenette with sofa, but it is your personal space not shared).
Bills are included, and there’s dedicated wifi that’s been installed on the top floor.
We’re in Grove Park, and we’re equidistant between Lee station and Grove Park station. These lines go into London Bridge / Waterloo / Charing Cross / Cannon Street.
(Since the photos were taken we've added some clothes storage and removed the cot).
The kitchen includes a sink, fridge, microwave, portable 2 ring induction hob, kettle and toaster. There’s not an oven so cooking is generally on the hob / microwave.

More about the household:
We are a family with two young children. Our children saying hello to lodgers - although they’re also very well trained and won’t come up and disturb you (unless invited of course). We treat it as your private space.
We're part of a local church community, which we’ve belonged to for around 16 years now. We’re reasonably involved, although have certainly taken a slight step back since having young children. But our faith remains the most important and guiding factor in our lives.
One of us is a set designer for theatre, and the other is a Marketer who also works part time for a different church. (There’s usually at least one of us working at home).
Let’s talk mess. With two children, our house usually has stray toys and clothes about, and we spend much of our life trying to keep up with the housekeeping! However, this will be contained in our living areas, and when we have lodgers we’re fairly good at keeping the access ways tidy.
It’s because of this that we’ve split cooking areas so that you have your own serene cooking space. We’ll certainly invite you to dinner sometimes, but generally lodgers do their own catering and cooking.
Hopefully that gives a sense of things, but do get in touch if you’d like to discuss more details.
