The room available is Bedroom 3 in the attached floorplan. It's fairly small (2.7m x 2.23m), but furnished with a single bed and mattress, chest of drawers, wardrobe, bookcase and shelving unit. It's light and airy with a large south-facing window overlooking the street.
The house has been recently redecorated to a high standard. There is good quality soft carpet in the room and throughout most of the house.
I'm happy to purchase other things you think you'll need for the room (within reason!), e.g. a net curtain for privacy or a lampshade. If you really wanted there's about 80cm of width left for a tiny desk.
The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac in Barnwell, near Fen Ditton. It's a lovely 15/20-minute cycle into town through the meadows and along the river (or it's a bit quicker but less pleasant going straight down Newmarket Road). There's a convenient grocery shop two minutes' walk away.
See the attached floorpan for the house layout. There is also a small garden at the back, and a driveway at the front that you'd be welcome to use.

I (David) have recently bought the house. My lodger/housemate is a friend from church. We both work locally in the tech industry. We have fairly busy schedules, but tend to share cooking responsibilities and eat together when we're both around. I'm looking for someone who would be happy to do the same, and be up for socialising together when time allows.
I also like to practise hospitality, hosting people for meals and occasional larger gatherings. You'd be welcome to invite people over as well.
I enjoy making music of various kinds, walking/cycling in the countryside, playing board games, reading novels, watching films and spending time with friends. I'm committed to my church family and much of my life at the moment revolves around various church things.
Please do share a little about yourself when responding - I'd like to find someone who'd be a good fit. :)
