More about the accommodation:
I've rented a third of the house for 5 years now, through Tapton Estate agents. I really love the space and location.
- Detached house, with very large garden. Only patio area and a hedge requires a bit of maintenance, the rest can be used / maintained but is not required to be. It produces some nice edible fruit and some compost heap destined fruit! Excellent Wifi signal in the garden, perfect for an outdoor cinema- weather permitting!
- NOW TAKEN, the double bedroom, Mostly furnished, but I will help to source some decent quality freebie furniture if required. Decent sized window at back of house with view of garden / squirrel haven. The lighting situation is weird - I recommend lamps on timers!
: The 2nd bedroom actually 2 room actually needs a bed! I have a single at my mum's house which could be brought over, but also. Freecycle! It has a wardrobe and a set of drawers. The bedroom has windows at the front and back of the house
There are only bedrooms (and a laundry room!) upstairs.
- Decent sized lounge with doors to the back garden (as well as the back door near the kitchen). There is a sofa, chair(coming soon) and a large bean bag. There is also a nice bay window (for a Christmas tree!) There is access to my Netflix, Amazon Prime, Alexa and projector.
- Downstairs average sized bathroom with shower over bath, sink& cupboard, and another cupboard. There is a separate toilet next to it.
- Kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, ample storage.
- Large dining room with roomy table for 4,(6 at a comfy squeeze). A couple of large comfy chairs and more storage. Also washing machine under the stairs.
The overall feel of the house is roomy, mix matched and not modern. But it works wonderfully! If you are someone who needs the house at 20+C at all times, this is not the house for you! Its not an energy efficient house, but there are knacks, to help it be moreso, and I've done a little research on DIY insulation, which I'm hoping to complete sometime in November
There is a small 'garage' area which is locked but accessible from the front of the side of the house, but open at the back (Still secure) In there I have a couple of bikes, some tools, and drying wood to burn (outside), a BBQ etc, there is room for more stuff. If it were emptied you would not get a car through there, but it looks like a horse and cart used to! Therefore there is a (teeny weeny) 'driveway' which could easily fit a motor bike on.
Car parking is on the street. There is always room on the road but not necessarily outside the house. It is a smallish dead end road. Whilst the skill is not essential, it may improve your parallel parking skills!
The neighbours / people nearby are quite friendly and chatty and we are very close to nice local shops, and of course Asda, as well as a post office, brilliant cafes, a good idea and chinese v close and many great pubs!

More about the household:
I'm Rose. I'm quite involved with City Church Sheffield, the usual meetings and I help out with PA and student work. I'm extraverted in the sense that I like being in the same room as other humans - even if quietly, but lockdown has greatly improved this. I also have adhd, and function better as a human adult when synced with other people's routines, left to my own devices I'm like a child who procrastinates going to work! (Flexi time isn't great for me, lol)
I work for the Home Office, although I'm not their biggest fan! Im in the office FT. Bearing the above in mind I'd like to do 8/9 - 4/5 but in bad times it can be anything up to 11 -8. I really need encouraging out of the door! Lol.
Naturally I can be scatty and messy BUT if you remind me that you hate that, I will keep it tidier. Especially if given time slots are created to do this. Id like for us to clean once a fortnight, obviously the kitchen more frequently, and nothing'set in stone.
I would love to share meals with housemates but ok to eat solo, or a bit of both. I can be slow when cooking as my meds run out and I'm not particularly focused! I'm also trying to BBQ meat more + even in winter, lol. I occasionally invite people over. Im happy for you to do the same! It is a brilliant house/garden for hosting.
I like games (though not always v competitive) , film & TV, heading to the peaks. I'm loving 'knowing Faith' podcast at the minute. It's not 'boble study' but 'high level conversation about book's of the bible. Going through Romans and just finished chapter 9 - mind blown :) Tbh I'm often heavily influenced by the hobbies etc of those around me.
More on the adhd. It mostly means I am often running late, and I'm chronically bad at organising things or doing 'life admin' alone- particularly paying bills or working out shared costs. (Hellooo Splitwise app!) So far here I have had the water and internet bill in my name as they don't change. So I would really appreciate a similarly low level of responsibility if possible. I also have a hearing loss which often discriminates against men! But don't be put off... I usually get used to people's voice after a month or so (depending on how much I see of them!)
